Charles Alfred "Chuck" Ensminger

Charles Alfred "Chuck" Ensminger, age 80, of Little Rock passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 from complications associated with leukemia. Chuck was born July 25, 1934 in Elizabeth, N.J. to Albert A. and Dorothy H. Ensminger. The family later moved to Wichita, Kan. where Chuck attended high school and was a member of the state champion golf team. In 1957, he graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and was also a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. Chuck married and moved to Little Rock where he became president of Enmar Industrial Finishes, a company established by his father and a family friend, Sam Marcus. He retired in 1994. Chuck was a master salesman and both a friend and mentor to many of his employees. A member of YPO, he also served on several boards, including 1st Commercial Bank. Chuck was a proud supporter of the Arkansas Razorbacks and the UALR Trojans, an avid golfer and had a passion for bird hunting. He loved and was loved by many and was truly a dedicated father and grandfather. The "Prince" did it his way – with grace, generosity, kindness and a big-hearted smile. He is survived by his daughter, Lisbeth Ensminger of Carbondale, Colorado, his son, Randy Ensminger and his wife, Marisa of Little Rock and three grandchildren, Meryl and Isabel Ensminger and Lilli Smalls. His family wishes to thank each and everyone that cared for him throughout his life. He will be missed by all that knew him. A celebration of Chuck's life will be at the Country Club of Little Rock, 4200 Country Club Blvd, Little Rock, Ark. from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014.
