Christina Lynn Brockway, 54, Rogers, Ark., passed away Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, after a three-year illness. Christi was born Aug. 27, 1960, in Webb City, Mo. She graduated from Webb City High School in 1978. She married Kevin Brown in 1980. He preceded her in death in 1984. She began her 31-year career with Walmart in 1980 in the local store working her way up, and then transferring to the Home Office in 1987 where she was a project manager. She married Larry Brockway in 1989. Her family cherishes memories of her faithfully and lovingly caring for a family pet experiencing failing health, her unique sense of humor, how much she enjoyed creating jewelry, her amazing knowledge and trivial knowledge of the Beatles and Elton John, and how much she enjoyed watching movies, especially the Twilight series. She was preceded in death by her loving stepfather, Paul Poulson in 2013; and grandparents, Carl and Yvonne Capp, Bernard Williams and Leta May, Toots and Mabel Tunnell, and Paul and Annie Poulson. Survivors include her husband, Larry Brockway of the home; mother, Vi Poulson of Joplin, Mo.; her father, Gary (Missy) Williams of Carterville, Mo.; two children, Christopher Brown, Reston, Va., and Joseph Brockway, Bentonville, Ark.; two sisters, Cathi Evans of Oronogo, Mo., and Cari (John) Long of Webb City, Mo. The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 509 S. Pearl, Joplin, with funeral services following at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Jeff Martin and the Rev. David Burgess officiating. Interment will follow in Oronogo Cemetery, Oronogo, Mo. Christi, you will be greatly missed and always in our hearts. We love you and will see you again.
