Amber (Lois Matsch) Eckert of Rogers passed away peacefully Oct. 6, 2014. Her loving and joyful spirit will be missed by her children, Tina Trousdell and husband, Don, Ron Matsch and wife, Carole, and Lori Powell and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Chris Matsch and wife, Kate, Matt Matsch, Callie Matsch and fiance, Eric Grant, Miranda and Mallori Powell; her former husband, Dale Eckert. Preceded in death by her first husband, Ronald Matsch of 28 years. Ronald and Lois moved from Denver, Colo., 55 years ago, and developed an area in Monte Ne known as Ro-Lynn Hills Development, including a mobile home park, duplex, tri-plex, gas station, laundromat, grocery store and restaurant, now known as the famous Monte Ne Chicken Inn. She was a proud member of both the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Rogers, and the Benton County Republican Committee, for which she was chosen to be a state delegate for Ronald Reagan for his 1980 presidency. Her children especially appreciated her example of endless joy and gratitude, love and compassion for everyone around her, and unwavering support. Her family invites all who wish to attend a simple memorial service 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, at Benton County Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to "The Matsch Family Charitable Foundation" or the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Rogers, Ark., c/o Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th St., Rogers, AR 72756.
