Billie Ray Bottoms

Billie Ray Bottoms, 73, of Fayetteville died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, in Fayetteville. He was born April 25, 1941, in Lincoln, Ark., the son of Clyde and Dora Bottoms. He was married to Arlene Bottoms for the past 18 years. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam Era and Desert Storm. He was a member of the American Legion in Prairie Grove. He retired from the Veterans Administration Medical Center after 24 years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and leaves many family members and friends. He is survived by his wife, Arlene Bottoms of the home; son, Billy Bottoms and wife, Amy, of West Fork; Katrina Anderson of Oklahoma; adopted son, Hunter Hatcher of the home; four stepsons, Gilbert Patrick and wife, Tammie, of Alma, Dwight, Benjamin and Michael Hatcher, all of Fayetteville; one stepdaughter, Betty Foshe and husband, Robert, of Gentry; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers, Jack, Earl and Jr. Bottoms, and David Finical; four sisters, Ella Harrison, Mary Weaver, Helen Sams and Betty Holt. Memorial graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at the Fayetteville National Cemetery, under the direction of Beard's Funeral Chapel.
