Joanne Helen Callicott

Joanne Helen Callicott, 77, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. She was born June 7, 1937, in Marquette, Mich., to Elvin Fredrick and Helen Josephine Niemi. She was a wonderful seamstress, a talented musician and an artist, painting beautiful works on canvas. Joanne truly had "gifted hands." She used these gifts to develop her children's talents. She also shared her gifts and time with others, knitting, sewing and making bonnets and booties for infants at Mercy Hospital. Joanne is survived by her husband of 58 years, Frank Callicott; two sons, Steve Callicott and wife, Jacque of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jeff Callicott and wife, Yvonne of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Sue Beaird and husband, Jon of Eugene, Ore., Debbie Bickel and husband, Craig of Lansing, Kan.; two brothers, Tom Niemi and wife Sheila of San Luis Obispo, Calif., John Niemi and wife, Cindy of Albuquerque, N.M.; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be at Hope Church of North West Arkansas, 1700 Moberly Lane, Bentonville, AR 72712 on Monday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. In honor of Joanne Callicott, memorials may be made to: Hope Church to benefit the overseas missions.
