Donald Lee McConnell
Donald Lee McConnell, 72, of Witter, Ark., died Oct. 3, 2014, at his home. He was born Jan. 27, 1942, at
Asher, Ark., the son of Alfred and Bobbie Patrick McConnell. He retired from Shipley Baking Company after
30 years of service as a mechanic. He belonged to the Assembly of God Church and was preceded in death by
his parents, one brother, Clyde McConnell, three sisters, Carolyn Dickard, Melba Allred and Bessie McConnell, one granddaughter, Laurie Wilhite and one great-grandson, Ty Wilhite.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Phillips McConnell of the home; one daughter, Shiela Wilhite of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Naomi McConnell of Fayetteville, Ark.; one brother, Jimmy McConnell of Forum, Ark.; one sister, Bonnie Stout of Fayetteville, Ark.; four grandsons and one
granddaughter-in-law, Scotty Wilhite, Stetson Wilhite, Don McConnell and Jeremy and Shelby McConnell; two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Hayley McConnell and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with The Reverend Jim Spurlock officiating. Interment will be in the Witter Cemetery under the
direction of Brashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville, Ark.
Pallbearers will be: Larry Stout, Lonnie Dickard, Eddie McConnell, Bobby Allred, J.P. Brandenburg and
Marvin Bryant. Honorary pallbearers will be Scotty Wilhite, Stetson Wilhite, Don McConnell and Jeremy McConnell. Visitation 6-7 p.m. on Monday at Brashears.
