Tonja Kay Farriester was called home on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014, after a long battle with kidney disease. Tonja was born in Siloam Springs on Jan. 25, 1971, to Donnie and Theresa Gregory. Tonja fought a tough battle and never gave up, not even in the end. She always smiled and said, "Don't cry, I will be okay. I'm going to get through this." She was a beautiful person who will be missed dearly. She loved cooking, soap operas, chatting on Facebook and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Clyde and Velma Gregory; her maternal grandparents, Charles and Lucille Lynch; her aunt, Linda; aunt, Barbara; aunt, Katherine; and her uncle, Willis. She is survived by her son, Jason Farriester and his wife, Brittany, of Garfield; her former husband, David Farriester of Rogers; her parents, Donnie and Teresa Gregory of Garfield; four sisters, Ladonya Martin and husband, Terry, of Rogers, Heather McCarty of Rogers, Kathy Stroud of Garfield, and Jessica Ferris and husband, Joey, of Pea Ridge; nine nieces and nephews, Chasity Martin and husband, Josh, Lucretia Radloff, Gary Radloff, Montana McCarty, Garrett McCarty, McKenzie McCarty, Ashley Stroud, Brendon Ferris and Jasmine Ferris; and one great-nephew, Wesley Martin; numerous aunts and uncles, friends and extended family. Service is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29 at The Ridge Church in Pea Ridge, with Pastor David Austin officiating. Visitation is set for Friday, Nov. 28, 5-7 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Home, Pea Ridge. Burial will be at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home, Pea Ridge. We would like to thank the staff of Regency Hospital and Benton County Dialysis for everything they did for Tonja. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an account set up to help pay for funeral expenses at Arvest Bank.
