She married Billy Benton Hollaway in Borger, Texas, Feb. 5, 1949, and with that union Kathy Ann Hollaway was born. In 1951, they moved to Bentonville, then to Pea Ridge on what is now the Pea Ridge National Military Park. When the park was formed, they moved to Garfield where she was still "tending to her chickens" and gardening until Aug. 10, 2014, when her health failed. She was very active in New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church. She and Benton also worked with Larry and Treva Lovvorn to begin Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Bella Vista. She was employed by Munsingwear Hosiery Company and Bear Brand Hosiery Company, before retiring to enjoy her granddaughters, great-granddaughters and her beautiful embroidery. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Truitt McBlain; sisters, Wanda Vineyard and Marie Dortch; and her son-in-law, Bobby Setser. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Kathy Hollaway Setser, granddaughters, Melita Setser, Michelle Setser Dye and husband, John, great-granddaughters, Taylor and Faith Dye, all of Garfield; a brother, Merrell McBlain and wife, Dorothy, of Hurst, Texas; a sister, Virginia Ballew of Perris, Calif.; and all of her New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church family. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at the Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. Service is set for 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at New Prospect Baptist Church in Garfield, with Brother Larry Lovvorn officiating. Burial will be in Bayless Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home in Pea Ridge. In lieu of flowers, Kathalene would ask that you make a donation to the Bayless Cemetery, c/o Sisco Funeral Home. The family would like to say "Thank You" to the many doctors, nurses and staff that touched our lives during Mamaw's illness. Online condolences may be made at siscofuneralhome.net.
