Mecaela Doege Pope

Mecaela Doege Pope, 60, of Fayetteville died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at Washington Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 9, 1954, in Miami, Fla., to Erwin and Miriam Keesee Doege. She was preceded in death by her father; and husband, Bernie Pope. She was employed as a receptionist at Highlands Oncology and had previously worked for Washington Regional Hospice. Mecaela is survived by her son, Jake Pope of Fayetteville; mother, Miriam Doege of Elkins; brother, Kurt Doege of Elkins; and grandson, Jacob Pope of Fayetteville. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at the Doege residence in Elkins. Cremation arrangements by Beard's Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
