Louise Jefferson, 93, of Rogers, Ark., a lifelong resident and pioneer business woman, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at her residence in Rogers. She was born March 9, 1921 in Pea Ridge, AR, to Pierce Rice Jefferson and Eva Woods Jefferson. After losing her mother at a very early age, she was raised by Pierce and Laura Jefferson. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1939 and attended an area Business College. Together with Doris Larimore, she established the Associated Insurance Agency, which she co-owned and operated for over 20 years. Following her insurance career, she joined Lindsey & Associates, in 1972, where she served as Senior Vice-President and Executive Broker. She was also a member of the Northwest Arkansas Board of Realtors. Her positive outlook and love of people contributed to her great achievements in the real-estate business. Louise sold both commercial and residential properties and in partnership with Jim Lindsey, they developed the Hyland Park Subdivision. In addition to her business career, Louise was a troop leader in Wing Scouts (Wing T's) for many years and was very active in the local PEO. She was a Charter Member of First United Methodist Church in Rogers. Louise felt fortunate to have been able to travel throughout the United States and Europe. She will always be remembered as a loyal and compassionate friend with an incredibly positive outlook on life. Louise had an encouraging word for everyone she met. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pierce, Eva and Laura Jefferson; one sister, Betty Trice; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Ronald and Virginia Jefferson, Gene Jefferson and Don Jefferson. Louise is survived by one brother, Randy Jefferson and wife, Jenny of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Jefferson, Nancy Jefferson; beloved nephews & nieces, Steve Dykes, Becky Zajicek, Larry Jefferson, Shari Jefferson, Craig Jefferson, Karlene Lacy, Susan Geller, Laura Kay Easley, Marta Kiser, Kristi Ferguson, Pierce Jefferson and Megan Parks and their families. Louise will also be dearly missed by many close and loving friends. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at First United Methodist Church in Rogers with the Rev. Sandra Wanasek officiating. There will be a time of fellowship with the family from 10:30 until service time. Burial will follow in Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Memorials may be made in honor of Louise Jefferson to First United Methodist Church of Rogers, 307 West Elm, Rogers, AR 72756.
