Kami Lin Gneiting

Kami Gneiting, 49, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 21, 1965, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Thomas M. Trahant and Leta Marie Gilbertson Trahant. Kami grew up in Fort Hall, Idaho, and attended Fort Hall Elementary School before attending and graduating from Blackfoot High School. Kami attended Weber State University, graduating with a bachelor's degree in physical education. She worked as a personal trainer and aerobics instructor at the Walton Life Fitness Center for 24 years. She loved being with her family and attending sporting events — especially those activities that her children were participating in. Kami was able to balance her family, friends and work, but always put her family first. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas. Kami is survived by her husband of 28 years, Garth Gneiting, whom she married on Aug. 2, 1986, in Groveland, Idaho, and was sealed in the LDS Idaho Falls Temple on Nov. 1, 1986. She is also survived by two sons, Nick and Nate Gneiting of Fayetteville, Ark.; one daughter, Shayle Gneiting Jellum of Pleasant Grove, Utah; her mother, Leta Trahant of Fort Hall, Idaho; one sister, Tawnya Trahant Watson of Roseburg, Ore.; two brothers, Kelly and William (Bill) Trahant of Fort Hall, Idaho; and many more dear family and friends. Visitation will be held from 10 until 10:45 a.m., with funeral services following at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1101 McCollum Drive, Bentonville, AR 72712, with Bishop Craig Cude officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bentonville Athletic Buster Club, P.O. Box 396, Bentonville, AR 72712.
