Marcella L. Sharum, 91, of Springdale passed away Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at her home. She was born June 23, 1923, in Johnson, Ark., to Carl and Leila Dodson Head. Marcella retired from First State Bank after 42 years of service. She grew up attending First United Methodist Church in Springdale and later attended Spring Creek Fellowship Church in Springdale. She was a proud graduate of Springdale High School in 1941. She attended numerous class reunions. She attended Fayetteville Business College. She was a longtime member of the Springdale Business and Professional Women for 50 years. She was a dedicated member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Prairie Grove #1006. She was a loving neighbor, a concerned Springdale citizen and a supporter of all veterans services. Special thanks should be given to Tammy, Margie, Roseanne, Lisa, Tammy, Ann and Dena whose dedicated loving care for Marcella is greatly appreciated, and Marcella's neighbors who graciously and loving checked on her almost daily for the last few months. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Sharum in 1992; her twin sister, Drucilla Ann Morris in January of this year. Survivors include two nieces, Karen Tyler of Bella Vista, Rosalie Lightner of Minnesota; one nephew, Gary Morris of Springdale; her cousin, Jeff Stafford of Atlanta, Ga. Funeral service will be Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at 10 a.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with Dr. Rick Grace officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Spring Creek Fellowship Church, 2120 W.
