Susan Karen Case

Susan Karen Case, 62, died Nov. 11, 2014, in Bentonville. She was born on Feb. 29, 1952, to Nels and Florence (Beard) Omit in Tillamook, Ore. She was the loving wife of Doug Case for 37 years. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary 3031 in Rogers. As a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary, she pursued her passion for military issues and helping veterans. While Doug was deployed for Desert Storm in 1990-1991, Susan helped develop the Family Support Program now used for military families during deployment. Susan is survived by her husband, Doug, of Rogers; son, Dave Omit and his wife, Tracie of Rogers; brother, Ray Omit of Washington; and grandchildren, Trevor Piearcy and Devin Omit. She was preceded in death by brothers, Dale and David Omit, and parents. A visitation will be Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, from 11 to 12 p.m. in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, with a service to follow at noon. Burial will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the VFW Auxiliary 3031, 11160 Old Wire Road, Rogers, AR 72756.
