Thomas Ramer Kirk, 65, of Bentonville, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born Jan. 1, 1949, in Memphis, Tenn., to Emmett Luther Kirk and Mary Jo Willcox nee Duncan. He was a 1967 graduate of Messick High School in Memphis, Tenn., where he was all city in football. He graduated in 1973 from University of Arkansas where he was a proud member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. Thomas was preceded in death by his father, mother, and one granddaughter, Carolyn Gail Kirk. He is survived by one son, William Hunter Kirk of Centerton, Ark., and one daughter, Mary Amanda Kirk of Bentonville, Ark. He has three grandchildren, Thomas Heffron, Cameron and Courtney Nuss; three brothers, Don, Ronald, and Steve Kirk. Tommy was a lifelong Razorback fan, a proud alumnus of the University of Arkansas, a fervent supporter of all things regarding the Buffalo River, and a lifelong proponent of Arkansas and later Branson tourism. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at New Hope Assembly of God, 2626 New Hope Road in Rogers. Memorials may be made in honor of Thomas Kirk to the American Diabetes Association, 1660 Duke St., Alexandria, VA 22314.
