Leland 'Lee' A. Brandon

Leland "Lee" A. Brandon, 90, of Gravette, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at Ozark Community Hospital in Gravette, Ark. He was born on Aug. 11, 1924, in Arkansas to Jeremiah Arthur Brandon and Jesse Ethel Mitchell Brandon. He was a graduate of Gravette High School. He was a veteran of WWII, Korean War and Vietnam. After 30 years in the Air Force, he retired as a chief master sergeant. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Louise Brandon in 2007; son, Darryll Brandon; and grandson, Jon Ferguson Jr. He is survived by three daughters, Lynette Floyd and husband, Jim, of Gravette, Ark., Lucy Ferguson and husband, Jon, of Centerton, Ark., Lori McNamara and husband, Ken, of Bella Vista, Ark.; sister, Elnora of Mississippi; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, 2014, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home chapel. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, 2014, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark., with Pastor Rex Dickey officiating. Burial will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Gravette, Ark. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gravette Museum, 503 Charlotte St., Gravette, AR 72736.
