Bonnie Ruth Smith

Bonnie R. Smith, age 81, of Elkins passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, in Fayetteville. She was born July 15, 1933, in Japton, Ark., to Ewell and Ollie Harriman Parker. She was of the Church of Christ faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Alvin Smith; son, James Randall Smith; brother, Calvin Parker and her sister, Vida Ball. She is survived by her daughter in law, Cindy Smith of Elkins; four sisters, Wanda Brannon of Riverton, Kan.; Imogene Faulkner of Elkins; Emma Lee Williams of Japton; Patsy Parker of Elkins; two brothers, Conley Parker and his wife Bessie of Brannon Mountain; Carl Wendell Parker and his wife Dorothy of Elkins; two granddaughters, Kina Tankersley and her husband Jeremy; Jana Smith and sister in law, Thelma Parker of Japton. Visitation will be 2 p.m.–4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Whitehouse Community Church with burial to follow at Whitehouse Cemetery under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
