Bobbye Marion Taylor Ferrell, 83, of Fort Smith, Ark. passed away on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 in a local hospital. She was born on Nov. 25, 1930 in Newport, Ark. to Edwin Boyce and Mary (Nance) Taylor. Bobbye was a homemaker, painter, writer and gardener; laughter was usually always at the core of her conversations. She loved music, both classical and 40s and 50s. She played piano, and would sing and play hymns praising God and our Savior Jesus Christ daily. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 2014 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home Chapel of Fort Smith, Ark., with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jack Ferrell of the home; two sons, John S. Ferrell and his wife, Gail, and Dr. Jeffrey B. Ferrell and his wife, Alayna, both of Fort Smith, Ark.; three grandchildren, Ashley Robinson and her husband, Tim, of Bentonville, Ark., Maggie Murray and her husband, Ryan, of Springfield, Mo. and Joshua Ferrell of Fort Smith, Ark.; two step-grandchildren, Lauren Terkel and her husband, Mike, and Natalie McNeil, both of Plano, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Nicco Murray and Jackson Terkel and one sister, Dorothy Manly of Anaheim, Calif.
