Thomas Carl Schreiber, 66, died May 25, 2014, in Bentonville. He was born on Sept. 25, 1947, in Rochester, Minn., to the late Wallace Carl and Delores (Behnken) Schreiber. He was the loving husband of Kristin (Frank) Schreiber for 42 years. He fought a courageous fight with his illness and remained positive throughout. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served in Vietnam. Thomas worked for the United States Forest Service for 27 years. Upon retiring, he was a custodian for the Pea Ridge School District for seven years. He enjoyed helping people and especially enjoyed talking to the children. He enjoyed meeting new people and always had a smile and a warm hand shake for anyone he met. He is survived by his wife, Kristin; sons, David Carl Schreiber, and Jeffrey Schreiber and his wife, Ethel; sister, Gloria Brandt; and three grandchildren, Deidre, Devin Carl and Avery. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael H. Schreiber. A visitation will be Friday, May 30, 2014, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist Church in Pea Ridge. Online condolences can be made at www.rollinsfuneral.com.
