Allan Arthur Culmer

Allan Arthur Culmer, 67, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark. He was born on July 4, 1946, in Fayetteville, Ark., to Ted Culmer and Pauline Beavin Culmer. He was a police officer in Tulsa, Okla., and Bentonville, Ark. He worked at Walmart until 2012, when he retired to spend more time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. Allan is survived by his wife, Janet Culmer of Bella Vista, Ark.; mother, Pauline Culmer of Bella Vista, Ark.; four daughters, Staci Campbell (Dale Thomas) of Pea Ridge, Ark.; Jennifer Chandler (Sean) of Bella Vista, Ark.; Katherine Plunk (Barrett) of Pea Ridge, Ark.; Amanda Culmer (Michael Wilmoth) of Bentonville, Ark.; one brother, Dwayne Culmer (Josephine) of Rogers, Ark.; two sisters, Shari Petri (Carl) of Shelton, Wash.; Deborah Culmer (David Van Brink) of Santa Cruz, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A Memorial Service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at the Bella Vista Funeral Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark., with Chaplain Steve Dykes officiating. There will be a celebration of Allan's life following the service. It will be held at Metfield Country Club in Bella Vista, all are welcome.
