Velma Sue Nevill Center, age 90, of Winslow died Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in Winslow. She was born April 15, 1924, in Mountain Grove, Mo., the daughter of William "Bill" Nevill and Alma Smith Nevill. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 63 years, Austin R. Center; and two sons, Billy R. Center and Tommy D. Center. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Winslow. She will be truly missed by so many friends and loved ones. She is survived by three children, Richard Center and wife, Mary, of Greenland, Ark., Jim Center of Cleveland, Texas, and Diana Center DeVore and husband, Jim, of Winslow; two daughters-in-law, Georgetta Smith and Jody Center, both of Greenland; she was also blessed with 15 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Moore's Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Assembly of God Church in Winslow, followed by burial at Oak Grove Cemetery at Winslow, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
