Samuel 'Paul' Reading

Samuel "Paul" Reading, 93, of Siloam Springs, Ark., died Monday, May 12, 2014, at Circle of Life Hospice, Springdale, Ark. Born Aug. 12, 1920, in Gentry, Ark., he was the son of Marion and Valla Willis Reading. Mr. Reading lived his whole life in the community and was a farmer. He also worked for Pet Milk and La-Z-Boy. He and Christene Provost were married Dec. 5, 1942. Paul was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of the East Kenwood Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Gene, Junior and Virgil. Survivors include his wife, Christene of the home; son, Dennis Reading and wife, Mary, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; daughter, Sherry Gray and friend, Balton Winningham, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; four grandchildren, Kendra Etherton and Casey Odle, both of Siloam Springs, Ark., Warren Winningham of Watts, Okla., and Dirt Winningham of Cherokee City, Ark.; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Garlan Reading and wife, Georgia, of Fayetteville, Ark.; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, at Fairmount Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Mr. Ron Reading officiating.
