Edwin Mitchel Kelley

Edwin Mitchel Kelley, 75, Neosho, died May 8, 2014, in Neosho, Mo. Edwin was born Feb. 6, 1939, to Luther and Maudie Kelley in The Burns on the Dry Bayou, La. He served in the U.S. Army, and was a small-business owner owning a liquor store in Jane, Mo. He moved to Neosho in June of 2005. His wife of 48 years, Dixie Kelley, preceded him in death. Edwin is survived by five children, Scott Johnson, Rayne La., Terry and wife, Carmen Kelley, Houston, Texas, Randy and wife, Frankie Kelley, Bella Vista, Ark., Lloyd Kelley, Noel, Mo., and Traci Mandella, Centerton, Ark.; two sisters, Betty and Rodney Mills, Hessmer, La., and Kathie and Shannon Burdick, Prairieville, La. He was also survived by eight grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Dixie, Edwin was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey Kelley; two brothers, Luther Kelley Jr. and Tommie Kelley; and one sister, Heneriette Johnson. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Bella Vista Assembly of God, 1771 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark.
