Willie Bernice House, age 65, of Centerton died peacefully May 4, 2014, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. She was born in Brady, Texas, on Feb. 13, 1949, to the late R.L. and Lillian Lucille (Bray) Gibbons. Willie volunteered at Central United Methodist Church where she was known as the "Fairy Godmother" — making stuffed toys for Tiny Tots and wrapping all of the shoeboxes for "Operation Christmas Child." She cared for her own mother for many years, and was very interested in family research and genealogy. Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Lawson and husband, Johnny, of Centerton; granddaughter, Chanda Hawpe and husband, Travis, of Centerton; great-grandchildren, Kiara and Bricklin McDonald; sisters, Marie Clifton and husband, Cecil, of Rogers, Juanita Dale Calloway of Missouri, Ann Gibbons of Bentonville; brother, Paul Gibbons of Little Rock; a very special niece, Michelle Tevebaugh and husband, Gary, of Cave Springs; several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Central United Methodist Church in Rogers, officiated by the Rev. Carness Vaughn. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 2535 W. New Hope Road, Rogers, AR 72758.
