Lowell Loyd Hackney

Lowell "Loyd" Hackney, age 69 of Rogers, passed away March 29, 2014. Loyd was born March 30, 1944, in Kennett, Mo., to parents Forrest and Mamie Hackney. As a young man, Loyd served in the United States Marine Corps and was a Vietnam Veteran. In more recent years, Loyd worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed being with family and friends and also boating and fishing. Loyd was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Carl and Doyle Hackney and one granddaughter, Kristine Bankson. He is survived by his significant other, Sue Hackney; one son, Jimmy Hackney of Cordell, Okla.; daughters, Kimberly Stamps of Rogers and Katy Lamport of Peculiar, Mo.; stepdaughter, Tina Waugh of Cassville, Mo.; stepson, Troy Lupica of Seligman, Mo.; sisters, Delphia Secrest, Joyce Dunham, Barbara Pierson, Phyllis Hogan, Faye Gray and Shirley Clark; grandchildren, Dillon Carter of Rogers, Joey Bankson of Peculiar, Mo., Trinity, Kameron and Summer Lamport of Peculiar, Mo., and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, 3800 W. Walnut, Rogers.
