Arlis Wayne Curtis

Arlis Wayne Curtis, resident of Anderson, Mo., was born on Dec. 27, 1959, in Harrison, Ark., son of Dennis Ray Curtis and Ina Louise (Root) Ross. He departed this life Wednesday, March 26, 2014, in Joplin, Mo., at the age of 54 years. Arlis enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, golfing, playing video games, and spending time with his family and friends. He worked as a truck driver for OTR Trucking for many years. On Aug. 29, 1977, Arlis was united in marriage with Hope (Jones) Curtis, who survives him of the home. He is also survived by two daughters, Robin Storberg and Jody Anderson, both of Anderson, Mo.; four grandchildren, Nicole Anderson, Madison Anderson, Auroara Storberg and Rose Storberg; his mother, Ina Ross of Rogers, Ark.; one brother, David Curtis and wife, Wanda, of Rogers, Ark.; one sister, Linda Partain of Rogers, Ark.; two stepsisters, Starla and husband, Jim Benton, of Burnett, Texas, and Patty Curtis of Kingsland, Texas; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends. Arlis was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Curtis; his grandparents; one grandson, Baby Boy Wilson; his stepfather, Clarence Ross; and his stepmother, Bonnie Curtis. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2014, at the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor Harold King officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
