David Oliver Dakan

David Oliver Dakan, 72, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at Regency Hospital in Rogers, Ark. He was born on Oct. 26, 1941, in St. Louis, Mo., to Oliver and Margaret Dakan. He retired from Rock Island Arsenal, Illnois. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church. He loved fishing, golfing, his computer and collecting stamps. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Mike and Dennis. He is survived by his wife, Betty Dakan of Bella Vista; one daughter, Stacy and husband, Chris Crotser, of Prairie Grove, Ark.; and one grandson, Kaleb.
