Jack W. Hill passed away at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville, Ark., on March 18, 2014. He was surrounded by his family. Jack was born on Oct. 16, 1942, to Neil (Jack) and Margie (Lamb) Hill in Des Moines, Iowa. He married his high school sweetheart, Frances Elliott (Fran), in Winterhaven, Calif. They enjoyed 52 years of marriage. He served in the Air Force for four years and completed a 30-year career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Jack loved the outdoors and spent several winters in Arizona, exploring the desert on his ATV. He was an avid target shooter, as well as a talented woodworker. Preceding him in death was his daughter, Darilyn Szalay. He is survived by his wife, Fran of the home; daughter, Debra Hankins (Jeff) of Sand Springs, Okla.; son, Darren (Tena) Hill of Bentonville, Ark.; son-in-law, John Szalay of Muskogee, Okla.; granddaughters, Whitney Hill, Bethany Hill and Olivia Bryan; grandson, Maxwell Bryan. He also leaves three sisters, Jeanne Davis of Henderson, Nev., Patty Hill of Gold Creek, Mont., Kathy Core of Phoenix, Ariz.; and one brother, John Hill of Phoenix, Ariz. A memorial service will be held at Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 24, at 1 p.m. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
