Charlie Monroe Smith, age 62, of Rogers passed away March 17, 2014. Charlie was born March 19, 1951, in Haleyville, Ala., to parents Oscar Smith and Martha Kelley Smith. As a young man, Charlie served in the United States Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge. Charlie was united in marriage to Linda Kay Junior on April 26, 1971, in Hamilton, Ala. They enjoyed over 42 years of marriage together. Charlie worked for many years as a truck driver also, and enjoyed working on cars and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Verlin, Donald, James and Harold Smith; and one sister, Evelyn Klute. Charlie is survived by his wife, Linda of Rogers; three sons, Bobby Smith and wife, Dana, of Bentonville, David Smith and wife, Marcie, of Rogers, Billy Smith of Rogers; daughter, Tina Keene of Rogers; sisters, Marvine Cooley and Arlene Junior of Rogers; four grandchildren, Charla Murray and husband, Caleb, of Bentonville, Camron Keene and wife, Rachel, of Pea Ridge, Allison Jennings of Bentonville, Kaylee "Bug" Smith; and great-grandchildren, Journey Murray and Axel Murray. Memorial services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at the Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel, 3800 W. Walnut, Rogers, Ark.
