Mary Ann Hargis

Mary Ann Hargis, 73, of Bella Vista, Ark., passed away on March 12, 2014, and is now basking in the light of Heaven. She was born in Shreveport, La., Nov. 8, 1940. Mary attended school in Many, La. She lived the majority of her life in Enid, Okla., Overland Park, Kan., and Bella Vista, Ark. She met and married Bill Hargis on Sept. 28, 1991. Mary was an entrepreneur who was successful in telecommunications and real estate. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, fishing, golfing and traveling. Bill and Mary moved to Bella Vista, Ark., with their four-legged children, Maggie and Angel, where they continued selling real estate and planned to retire in the area. Mary is survived by her husband, Bill; her daughter, Becky Sims and her husband, David; son, Danny Pfaff and wife, Kris; and stepson, Curtis Hargis and wife, Amy; as well as her 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, W.D. and Maggie Feagan; and her brother, William. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 14, at the Bella Vista Funeral Home Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark. Funeral services will be held the following day at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, at the funeral home and will be officiated by Pastor Jeff Reed of the Bella Vista Community Church. Burial will follow the service at the Bella Vista Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Circle of Life Hospice Legacy, Bentonville, Ark.
