Otto Campbell Rath, 86, of Bella Vista went to live with the Lord on March 5, 2014, in Bentonville. He was born Jan. 1, 1928, in Deming, N.M., the son of Miles Emil and Jimmie Waunita (Webb) Rath. Otto was a Geologist for Exxon USA. He was a member of the Bella Vista Christian Church. He attended the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and graduated from the University of Oklahoma. He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Ida Catherine (Goodwin) Rath; his daughter, Debra Kay McLaughlin of Hollywood, Florida; his brother Arthur J. Olson and wife Lucy of Durango, Colorado; two beloved grandchildren, Jonathan W. Rodgers of Portland, Oregon, and Sarah E. Odle and husband Sean of Melbourne, Florida; one precious great-granddaughter, Ashlyn K. Odle and many loving nieces and nephews. "Duke" was an avid fisherman, artist, bridge player, sailor, golfer and bird lover. Memorial services will be Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the Mildred B. Cooper Chapel in Bella Vista in the spring.
