Donnie Ray Rogers

Donnie Ray Rogers, age 71, of Rogers departed this life Thursday, March 6, 2014, in Rogers. He was born March 30, 1942, in Greenland, Ark., the son of Herschel and Helen Newman Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents. Donnie was raised in the Church of Christ in Greenland, Ark. He worked for Warren Tool Company, University of Arkansas, Northwest Arkansas Mall and Lee's Spraying Service. He loved to hunt, fish, travel, and he loved cats and dogs. He is survived by two sisters, Virginia Thames of Greenland, Ark., and Marilyn "Judy" Henbest and her husband, Derry, of Siloam Springs; a brother, Charlie Rogers and his wife, Wanda, of Siloam Springs, Ark.; three nieces; two nephews; four great-nieces; and six great-nephews. Visitation will be 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Moore's Chapel. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Moore's Chapel, followed by burial in Campbell Cemetery in West Fork.
