Rowlanda June Palermo, 70, of Fayetteville died Monday, March 3, 2014, in Springdale. She was born Aug. 1, 1943, in Winfield, Kan., the daughter of Roland McKee and June Guthrie McKee. She married John Palermo on Aug. 8, 1959, in Tulsa, Okla. She was a member of Zion Church, where she was also a member of the Red Hatters and Ladies group. She was employed for several years with Fayetteville Public Schools in the food service department; and was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Hickey. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, John Palermo of the home; three daughters, Dana Taylor and her husband, James, of Hogeye, Ark., Connie Fashank and her husband, Larry, of Fayetteville, Alesha Crouch and her husband, Scott, of Farmington; sister, Patricia Stroessner of Puyallup, Wash.; four granddaughters, Haley, Jasmine, Mandi, Tarin; and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Zion Church, 4984 Wedington, Fayetteville, AR 72704, in Fayetteville. Nelson-Berna Funeral Home handled the cremation arrangements.
