Walter Eugene Mobely Jr.

Walter Eugene Mobley Jr., 85, formerly of Macon, Ga., passed away Monday, March 3, 2014, at New Hope Health & Rehab in Rogers. He was born Feb. 25, 1929, in Macon to Walter Eugene Mobley Sr. and Frances Josephine Johnson Mobley. He was a proud graduate of Spring Hill College, Jesuit University in Mobile, Ala. He was preceded in death by his parents. Walter is survived by his wife of 46 years, Erie Gee McDaniel Mobley; one daughter, Frances Mobley Jason and husband, Matthew, of Rogers, Ark.; three grandchildren, John Matthew Jason, Chloe Elizabeth Jason and Mary Frances Jason. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, at Snows Memorial Chapel in Macon. The funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2014, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Macon, Ga., with burial in Riverside Cemetery.
