Marmein Lupie, age 94, passed away quietly on Feb. 16, 2014, at the Congregational Home of Brookfield, Wis., surrounded by her adoring family. Formerly of LaCrosse, Wis., she resided in Bella Vista for 25 years in a townhome and later at Concordia Apts. Joins her loving husband, Ernie, and daughter, Diane, in Eternal Life. Cherished mom of Stephen (Sheila) of Eagan, Minn., and Joan (Gary) Blaschke of Brookfield, Wis. She will be loved and missed by six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a niece, a nephew and friends. Marm taught in the LaCrosse district for 30 years, initiating Homebound Instruction and later heading the new Unwed Mothers' Program. Active on International Council of Exceptional Children, Delta Kappa Gamma (Beta Sigma Chapter of Bentonville) and A.A.U.W. Upon retirement, she received the Wisconsin State Distinguished Service Award. In Bella Vista, she was an active member of Bella Vista Lutheran Church. Marm loved entertaining, bridge, reading, church, family, sports and worldwide traveling. Resided the last six-and-a-half years in Brookfield. Marmein's beautiful spirit and ever present smile touched many and will live on forever. Memorial service on Saturday, March 29, at 2:30 p.m. at Congregational Home.
