Marjorie Ann Crowder, 71 years, of Bella Vista, Ark., was called to Heaven on Sunday, June 22, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Ark., with her loving family by her side. Marjorie was born on Oct. 28, 1942, in Wichita, Kan., to the late Forrest and Marjorie (Bruns) Young. She married Dean Crowder on April 26, 1963, in Wichita, Kan., and to this union two children were born. They moved to Bella Vista 12 years ago coming from Bentonville, Ark. She worked as the bookkeeper in the family business, Dean Crowder Construction Company. Marjorie enjoyed gardening, traveling, taking rides in their '55 Ford and cruising in her pontoon boat. She lovingly dedicated her time at Granny's Quilts of Love where they make quilts for children in the Arkansas Children's Hospital. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Marjorie cherished time spent with her grandchildren and could always be seen at their many activities. Marjorie was a dedicated Christian and was passionate about serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Dean Crowder of the home; two children, Elizabeth Crowder, Todd Crowder and wife, Lisa, all of Bentonville, Ark.; a brother, Jimmy Young of El Paso, Texas; six grandchildren, Justin Cummings, James Cummings, Charley Benkelman, Lindsey Crowder, Reece Crowder and Dawson Crowder; as well as a host of other family, friends and neighbors. Funeral services for Marjorie Crowder will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014, at the Bella Vista Baptist Church in Bella Vista, Ark. Brother Brandon Cox will officiate. Burial will follow the service at the Shelt Noel Cemetery in Noel, Mo. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014, from 10 a.m. until service time. The family will receive friends at this time.
