Norris Eric Williams

Norris Eric Williams, age 62, of Pea Ridge, Ark., passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, in Southside Regional Medical Center, Petersburg, Va. He was born Sept. 6, 1951, in Cassville, Mo., the son of Opal G. and Hazel V. (Lawson) Williams. On Dec. 24, 1971, in Seligman, Mo., he was united in marriage to Jo Goldsmith, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Jamie Williams and his special friend, Pattie Jones, of Bentonville, Ark.; one daughter, Erica Henderson and her husband, Jason, of St. Joseph, Mo.; three brothers, Doyle Williams of Colorado Springs, Colo., Pharis Williams of Sun City West, Ariz., and Knial Williams of Seligman, Mo.; one sister, Ramona Fletcher of Seligman, Mo.; and four grandchildren, Steven, Gabe, Matthew and Isabella. Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers, Kevin and Darrell Williams. Norris received his education at Washburn, Mo., and was a graduate of Southwest High School. He had been employed for Emerson Electric for a while and for 17-and-a-half years he worked for Scott Paper in Rogers, Ark. He then drove a truck for U.S.A. Trucking Company for 19 years, where he became a member of the Million Miler Club, driving accident free over a million miles. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge, Ark. He loved spending time with family and singing and writing songs. He was the winner of a couple of song writing contests. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2014, in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville, Mo. Burial will be in King Cemetery, Seligman, Mo. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
