Jane Worthington Duls Meadows, 93, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014, in Fayetteville. She was born Dec. 6, 1920, in Dallas, Texas, to William H. Duls and Theresa (Marshal) Duls. Mrs. Meadows was a graduate of the University of Texas where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She was a member of Sequoyah United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. She had a lifelong love for tennis, having played into her mid 80s, and in 1997 won a silver medal in doubles at the Senior Olympics in Tucson, Ariz. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Jack E. Meadows Sr.; two sons, Jack E. Meadows Jr. (Carolyn) of Little Rock, Ark., William N. Meadows (Susan) of Fayetteville, Ark.; four grandchildren, Jack E. Meadows III (Sarah) of Hot Springs, Ark., Melissa Riley (Cooper) of Little Rock, Ark., William Meadows Jr. (Sunny) of Byron, Minn., Mary Jane Bryles (Roger) of Fayetteville, Ark.; and six great-grandchildren, Olivia, Rachel and Sarah Cooper Riley of Little Rock, Ark., Sophie and Lily Bryles of Fayetteville, Ark., and Ryder Meadows of Hot Springs, Ark. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, at Sequoyah United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Sara Pair officiating. Private graveside burial will be held at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sequoyah United Methodist Church, 1910 Old Wire Road, Fayetteville, AR 72703.
