Billy Earl Green, age 84, of Rogers died on June 21, 2014. He was born July 8, 1929, in Fort Smith to the late Clarence Earl and Hazel (Mahan) Green. Billy served his country as a cryptographer in the U.S. Air Force stateside during the Korean Conflict. After his discharge from the Air Force, he worked as a salesman for the Dixie Cup Company, traveling the South for many years. In 1965, he opened a paint shop, Green Distributing Company in Tulsa, Okla., before moving to Northwest Arkansas in 1980. Locally, he worked for Triangle Building Supply, the Bella Vista POA and Furniture Factory Outlet from which he retired. Billy enjoyed hunting both ducks and quail, and was a proud member of both Ducks and Quail Unlimited. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Wilma (Graves) Green; daughter, Shelly Green Bohlin and husband, James, of Gaithersburg, Md.; and grandchildren, Alison, Michael and Christopher Bohlin. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, David Joe Green. Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2014, with services beginning at 11 a.m. in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be private.
