Helen Virginia Phillips, 85, of Rogers went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2014, at the Circle of Life in Bentonville. She was born Oct. 28, 1928, in Clifty, Ark., to Claude and Ruth Todd Lynch. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Claud (Sug) Phillips, they were married on Dec. 22, 1945; three sons, Floyd and wife, Kelly, Gary and wife, Pat, Brian and wife, Laura, all of Rogers; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Cecil and wife, Rebecca, of Rogers; three sisters-in-law, Chloe Lynch of Missouri, Lena Phillips of Hindsville and Ruby Clardy of Tulsa; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Claudette; son, Marty Dale; granddaughter, Ashley Nicole Phillips; her parents; sister, Zelda Lawson; and brother, Bill Lynch. Virginia, known to all of us as "Gin," was a Godly woman and a member of Rogers Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, being with her church family, singing in the choir, tending flowers and camping with their group called the "Lazy Beavers." The family will receive friends for visitation at Benton County Funeral Home in Rogers Friday, June 20, from 5-7 p.m. Services celebrating "Gin's" life will be held Saturday, June 21, at 1 p.m. at Rogers Freewill Baptist Church, with graveside services at 3:30 p.m. at Burkshed Cemetery in Hindsville.
