Margaret Keys

Margaret Keys joined our Savior on June 14, 2014, at her home in Bella Vista, Ark. She was born Oct. 18, 1923, in Cushing, Okla., daughter of the late Angelo Moreno and Christina Zermano Moreno. Her family moved to Joplin, Mo., where she worked as a chief operator and supervisor with S.W. Bell Telephone in Camp Crowder, and then Joplin before moving to Tulsa, Okla. She married Fred Keys in Tulsa in 1950, and retired from S.W. Bell after 40 years, and then moved to Bella Vista. Margo was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church of Joplin. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Fred Keys; her four children, Sandra Keys Croswell, Michael Keys, Penny Keys Walker and Peter Keys, and their spouses, Doug Walker, Art Croswell and Ling Keys; three grandchildren, Lindsey Walker, Michael Brewer and Dawn Brewer Burkhart; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Celia Lytle of Kansas City, Mo. The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary prior to her funeral mass on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. in St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, with Father J. Friedel officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
