David Andrew Bushnell, 23, died on June 15, 2014, in Bentonville. He was born in Rogers, Ark., on June 2, 1991, to Paul and Mary (Parks) Bushnell. He graduated from Rogers High School in 2010, and despite being confined to a wheelchair, he attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, studying architecture and engineering for three years. He obtained the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 2144 in June of 2009. David inadvertently inspired many with his trail blazing ideas and attitude toward life. He is survived by his parents of Rogers; brother and three sisters, Jacob Bushnell, Kathy Graves and her husband, Bryan, Sarah Bushnell and Laura Bushnell, all of Rogers; nephew, James; and niece, Anna Graves; paternal grandmother, Betty Bushnell; paternal uncles, Mark and his wife, Jocelyn, and John Bushnell of Texas; maternal uncles, Paul and his wife, Janet Parks, Jim and his wife, Kathy Parks, and Tom and his wife, Beth Parks; maternal aunt, Carol Whisenhunt and her husband, Mark; and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Charles Bushnell; and maternal grandparents, Cyril and June Parks. A funeral will be Thursday, June 19, 2014, at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers; burial to follow at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 18, from 5 until 7 p.m., with a rosary at 6:30 p.m., in Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, Rogers. Online condolences can be made at www.rollinsfuneral.com.
