James Edward Faucett

James "Jim" Edward Faucett was born Feb. 7, 1947, in Piggott, Ark. Jim passed away June 11, 2014, at Mercy Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Marcella (Gilbee); one daughter, Tammy Abromeit and husband, Ed; and one son, James Faucett; one brother, Mike Faucett and his wife, Ruby; one sister, Marilyn Brewer and her husband, Ron; six beautiful grandchildren, Amber, Kristina, Brittnay, Benjamin, Baylie and Hannah. Jim will be missed by his canine companions, Chloe and Sasha. He served in the United States Army before moving to Ypsilanti, Mich., where he worked for Motor Wheel. A few years later, Jim and his family moved to Paragould, Ark., where he served as a police officer from 1979 until 1982. Later he relocated to Rogers where he retired from the police department, serving honorably from 1982 until 2002. One of his favorite jobs was working with the K-9 unit. Jim cherished his family and lived life to the fullest. Traveling by motorcycle, Jim took several cross country trips: to the West Coast, the Tail of the Dragon in Tennessee, as well as trips to Washington, D.C., to honor veterans. This is only a small portion of the traveling and adventures he experienced in his life. He will be remembered fondly by all those who knew and loved him. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2014, at Stockdale-Moody Funeral Services in Rogers. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the Chapel on the Creeks, 5202 W. Village Parkway, Rogers, AR 72758, with burial at Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery.
