Joann Elaine Coberly

Joann Elaine Coberly, 80, of Bentonville died July 25, 2014, in Bentonville. Mrs. Coberly was born on April 5, 1934, in Dumas, Texas. She has been a resident of Bentonville since 1979. She graduated from Lefors High School in Texas where she met her husband of 60 years, Les Coberly. She enjoyed cooking, taking care of her family and working in the church. She was a member of Oakley Chapel United Methodist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her sister, Norma Jeaanne Sims; and her parents, Bud and Nellie Staley. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Les Coberly of the home; a daughter, Leslie Coberly of Bentonville; a niece, Cheryl Butler and husband, Jimmy, of Winters, Texas; a nephew, Hal Sims and wife, Mignon, of Ruidoso, N.M. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Bentonville Cemetery, with Jim Keith and Shane Pair officiating. Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Circle of Life Hospice Home at Legacy Village, 900 NE Verdant St., Bentonville, AR 72712. Arrangements are under the care of Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
