Billy Ray Stogdill, 72, of Pea Ridge died Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born Sept. 6, 1941, in Thomas, Okla., to Alvie Lee Stogdill and Pauline Cline Stogdill. He married Sandra Diane Patterson June 21, 1969. He was a home and commercial carpenter. He and his brother, Boyd, owned and operated Southwest Litter in Washburn, Mo., for many years. He loved to coon hunt, fish and being with his family. Bill was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church in Pea Ridge for over 20 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Lois Ann Hendrix and Phyllis Whited. Survivors are his wife, Sandra Stogdill of the home; a son, Ben Stogdill of Pea Ridge; a daughter, Crystal Landrus and husband, Shawn, of Pea Ridge; two brothers, Warren Stogdill and wife, Willeen, of Exeter, Mo., Boyd Stogdill and wife, Cheryl, of Washburn, Mo.; a sister, Deloros Sanchez and husband, Pete, of Orangevale, Calif.; five grandchildren, Andrew and Callen Russell, Blake Stogdill, Zachery Haley and Faith Arnold. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, at Buttrams Chapel Cemetery in Pea Ridge, with the Rev. Marvin Stephens officiating.
