Lisa D. Brinkley

Lisa D. Brinkley of Springdale, Arkansas was born to Clarence (C.L.) and Bertha (Wright) Pelfrey on November 3, 1947 in Yuba City, California and passed from this life on July 15, 2014 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years. Lisa grew up and attended school in Yuba City, California. She later made her home in Springdale, Arkansas where she owned and operated a candy store "Sweet Bouquets" with her best friend, Nora Taylor. Lisa collected carousel horses and in her spare time she enjoyed painting ceramics, traveling, and making cakes. She also made chemo quilts for other patients. She battled cancer for ten years and was declared cancer free prior to her passing. The highlight of her life was her family. Lisa never met a stranger and loved everyone unconditionally. She will be remembered for her grace and selflessness. Ms. Brinkley is survived by: daughters: Terrie McCoy and husband Shaun of Maysville, Oklahoma, Pamela Lynn Brinkerhoff and husband Todd of Grants Pass, Oregon; six brothers: Walter Pelfrey, Robert Pelfrey, William Pelfrey, Richard Pelfrey, George Pelfrey, and Larry Moore; one sister: Edna Warren of McKinney, Texas; nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Ms. Brinkley was preceded in death by her parents: C.L. and Bertha Pelfrey; son: Richard Brinkley; daughter: Sherrie Brinkley; brothers: Albert Pelfrey, Elmer Pelfrey, Marvin Pelfrey and Garvin Pelfrey; sisters: Barbara Pelfrey, Connie Pelfrey, and Eola Marie Pelfrey. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Wooster Funeral Home Chapel, 1601 S. Chickasaw, Pauls Valley, Oklahoma with Pastor Raymond Warren officiating.
