Charlotte "Elaine" Parker Meinecke, 88, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away July 10, 2014, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home. Elaine was born on March 24, 1926, in Oxnard, Calif., to Bert Parker and Violet Cope Parker, and was the oldest of three children. Elaine graduated from Bell High School in Bell, Calif., in 1944, and attended both Loma Linda and Pepperdine Universities in California. In 1946, she married Chester Frank Meinecke in Whittier, Calif., and had three children. Elaine worked in the Head Start Program in San Jacinto, Calif. She helped children with disabilities in College Station, Texas, and Zaria, Nigeria, where she and her family also conducted lay missionary work. Elaine was an elder and active member of the Gateway Church in Greenland, Ark. She was a lifelong dedicated servant of the Lord. She had a passion for studying the Bible and ministering to people in need. Elaine served as an ordained lay minister and recently enjoyed studying The Torah at Berit Olam Fellowship in Springdale, Ark. Elaine was an accomplished artist, and also enjoyed singing and playing the piano, as well as spending time with her family and friends. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Violet Parker; her sister, Shirley Anne Parker; her granddaughter, Chelsea Joy Meinecke; and her husband of 64 years, Dr. Chester Frank Meinecke. She is survived by her children, Tom Meinecke and wife, Sara, of College Station, Texas, Jim Meinecke and wife, Donna, of Fayetteville, Ark., Pam Jones and husband, Steve, of Fayetteville, Ark.; grandchildren, Dr. Dianna Jones Esmaelipour and husband, Neemah, and their daughter, Avery, of Little Rock, Ark., David Jones of Fayetteville, Ark., Lauren Meinecke Coble and husband, Brett, and son, Hayden, of Tucson, Ariz., Parker Meinecke of Fayetteville, Ark., TJ Meinecke of Rogers, Ark., Gentry and Molly Meinecke of Wilmington, Del.; sisters, Marlene Moore and husband, Milton, of Long Beach, Calif., Margie Tarlton and husband, James, of Temecula, Calif. Elaine was best known for her positive attitude, joyful friendly personality, and her love for God and people. A Celebration of Life and reception will be held at Grace Church, 2828 N.
