Robert Shearer Benton

Robert Shearer Benton, passed away peacefully at his home in Fayetteville, Arkansas, June 10th, 2014. Known as "RB" to his friends, he was preceded in death by his parents, Major Ishmael and Alice Benton, and his sister, Beverly. He is survived by his son, Zach Benton of Conway, Arkansas. Robert attended Fayetteville public schools and earned B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Arkansas. He was a member of The Great Zambini Brothers, a locally popular acrobatic troop that became a touring rock-n-roll band featuring many original songs. He served as an administrator for mental health facilities in Nashville, Tennessee, Little Rock and Hot Springs, Arkansas. Robert was also an accomplished artist, musician, and song writer. Robert's intelligence, quick wit and humor, his loyalty to his friends, and his spirit for adventure will forever fill the hearts of those he touched.
