J.B Sanders, 90 of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014, at the Veterans Home in Fayetteville. He was born on Jan. 3, 1924, in Sheridan, Ark., to Charlie B. Sanders and Nora Cotton Sanders. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Reba Sanders; sister, Willine Mashburn; brother, Jack Sanders and great-grandson, Seth Hicks. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Earnestine Sanders; three sons, Jim Sanders of Fayetteville, Jerry Sanders and wife Patti of McKinney, Texas, and Jay Sanders and wife Sang of Waldorf, Md.; daughter, Jena Vanhook and husband Ron of West Fork; brother, L.G Sanders of Myrtle Point, Ore.; 10 grandchildren, Susan, Angie, Shawn, Dane, Melissa, Callie, J.T, Addison, Brittanie and Cassidy; nine great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Tabor, Shelby, Hayden, Devin, Austin, Arianna, Inara, Kyrian and one on the way, Harrison, and several other family members and friends. The family will receive friends at Beard's Funeral Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2014. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 1410 N. Porter Road, Fayetteville, AR 72703, with Pastor Kirk Shelton and Pastor Gene Fultcher officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
