Camille Wardlaw

Camille Frances Prestianni Wardlaw, 93, formerly of Altheimer, died Saturday, July 5, 2014. She was born to Joseph and Rose Maranto Prestianni on Sept. 18, 1920, in Port Gibson, Miss. Camille married Herbert Wardlaw on Dec. 29, 1940, in her hometown of Anguilla, Miss. With her husband, they operated Wardlaw Cleaners for over 40 years in Altheimer. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pine Bluff where she enjoyed serving at the Annual Spaghetti Supper. Camille was an avid sports fan, who loved cheering for Ole Miss and Mississippi State. In addition to her parents and husband, Camille was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph Jr., Anthony, Tommie, Vince, and Louis Prestianni; and sister, Rosalie Wardlaw. Survivors include her daughter, Delores Durley (Joseph) of Fayetteville; granddaughters, Sherry Dyer (Ben) of Springdale and Allison Durley of Fayetteville; great-grandson, Banks Dyer of Springdale; and sister, Tresia DiGiacomo of Peckskill, N.Y. A Rosary will be 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors in Pine Bluff. Visitation will follow until 7 p.m. at Robinson's. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 10, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Frank DuPreez officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery.
