Joan Marie Simpson

Joan Marie "Joann" Simpson, 66, of Pea Ridge passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, in Bentonville. She was born Dec. 1, 1947, to John C. and Anne Mae Thomptson Johnston at Fort Riley, Kan. She enjoyed crafts, boating and swimming at the Wellness Center. Having learned to bake bread in a wood stove at age 5, it was a favorite pastime. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Billy Hunnicutt; and a sister, Kathy Drain. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, and funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers.
